I just returned from a brief escape from the busy city of New York to clear my mind and regain focus on what is truly important. As I ride back home from the airport on the air train, it hit me – I’ve been the biggest obstacle to my personal growth. Yes there have been bullies and hurtful souls that have crossed my path but I am the reason why things just didn’t go “right” or why I failed to see what was in front of me all along – the truth!
I control my destiny’s trajectory. I control what I allow from how people treat me to how I see my reflection. I’m learning day by day to be more mindful but what is being mindful? Being mindful is taking your ah-ha moments aka eureka effect and making them as important as breathing. And to be able to see everything that is around you and occurring inside you then recognizing and respecting each aspect that exists. It’s simply that but it is difficult to filter to hear that voice when you have the life noise lurking about that’s why retreats, meditation and a good night’s rest are so invaluable to help you to tap into your mindfulness to expand, enlighten and empower yourself.
Take charge. Take control. Be Mindful. Be….!!
